I picked it up last week and LOVE IT.
My old clock would go off like a blast that would make me jump and wake me from a deep sleep. I would sit on the edge of my bed every morning convinced that my old clock would cause a heart attack one day.
This retro clock increases the light which brings me into a lighter stage of sleep for 30 minutes and then uses an alarm which starts off mild and gradually increases until I am awake.
I really like the option to set the alarm for specific days. Mine is set for the weekdays and no alarm on the weekend.
I was going to buy a less expensive clock but I am glad the I bought this one. You get what you pay for.
