Sleeping In A Dark Room zzZzzZzzZ 0 people found this helpfulI love this alarm clock I've had it for a few years. An alarm clock is something you wouldn't really think to invest in but it's something you use every day. When I was initially shopping for a new alarm clock I was looking for one where I could turn the lights totally off or down on while I slept so that my room could be as dark as possible for optimal sleep. I've been very content with this clock you can turn all of the lighting off except for a tiny pinhead-sized power icon on the main screen which isn't a big deal. Sometimes I'll even turn the face of the clock away from me so it is even darker by my bedside. I could have probably written this review years ago but I came here now to write because recently my clock died. I just wanted to let others know that I brought it back to life by replacing the battery on the bottom which I just sort of took the chance on I was thinking I'd have to throw it out and order another. It takes a 3volt CR2032 flat battery you have to get a screwdriver and unscrew the panel on the bottom. Other remarks I have you may have to read the manual to program the alarm it isn't as simple as other alarm clocks. I honestly have only programmed the alarm twice - once when I first got it and once again when I brought it back to life with a new battery. Once was enough for a few years of use! So just grin and bear it and then you'll be all set it isn't that hard to do. I really like the motion-activated feature of swiping your hand over the top for a little soft light it's just sort of neat. It isn't as bright as putting a lamp on so it's a nice nighttime light if you just need some subtle temporary illumination. Sometimes I swipe it on in the middle of the night if I'm reaching for my water bottle in the dark. The alarm also has a feature where these lights on top will start to brighten 30 minutes before your alarm goes off you can program it not to do so by choosing L00 when you are setting the alarm.
