  1. Great portable player! 0 people found this helpful
    Overall Performance

The Archer turntable is a tough 3-in-1 fully automatic belt-driven turntable that spins 7, 10 or 12-inch records at 331/3, 45 & 78 RPMs. While the case is built to last, the platter and turn arm are made of lightweight plastic. This is a double-edged sword. It makes it weigh less, but it feels flimsy. A cork slipmat can easily mask that. When I first purchased it, the needle was defective, but it took a few minutes on live chat to get them to send me a new one within the warranty. Darrielle helped me out and was great. Now, this turntable has two built-in speakers. While small, their sound is crisp and the bass is surprisingly good. The AUX in, headphone jack and USB compatibility are nice-to-haves. You can use the headphone jack to play your records through a larger stereo. Considering this is a portable player and priced under $200, I would give it a 5/5 within the mobile category. Other similar players aren't as well built, and typically come in odd colours. The brown version of the Archer model is neutral enough. I purchased this turntable as a second player, and it works great in our small living room for everyday listening. It's keeping us away from the TV and allowing us to enjoy our albums once again.
